On May 5th, 1990 the founding fathers of the Sigma Omicron Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon at Middle Tennessee State University obtained an official Charter from TKE Headquarters. Persuaded by TKE’s morals and principles, these men started a bond only other Tekes could understand. The undergraduate Chapter closed in 2012 after 22 years as a chartered Chapter with TKE Headquarters and 23 years as an organization at Middle Tennessee State University.

The alumni association continues to operate with the overwhelming principle “not for wealth, rank, or honor, but for personal worth and character”. Sigma Omicron Chapter has initiated 337 members.
